My "Off Duty" Look

Whenever I have any downtime (which is pretty much all the time), I like to dress super casual. On this particular day, I happened to have a free afternoon, so I threw on my boyfriend jeans with an oversized cardigan layered over a turtleneck sweater. I've been really obsessed with all of these looks I've been seeing.. not only is it a really cool look, but it's also the epitome of warmth + style. I threw on this bright blue coat to give a pop of colour for the day. My sister and I ended up wandering in the art gallery, mainly because there was a special exhibit with some of Van Gogh's and Monet's work. Then we had dinner at a Filipino restaurant called Platito. I've been pairing turtleneck sweaters with everything this season. They're just my go-to pieces to keep me warm while still looking chic. Plus, it's great for layering!

For the Love of Tacos

Writing this post during lunch because it's Taco Tuesday! For me, anyway. Or possibly just in my head. I'm currently NOT eating tacos right now, but I feel like I SHOULD be eating tacos right now. So as I type words away, I'm debating whether to order takeout and get it delivered, or be active and pick it up myself. Hm.. Pizza sounds amazing. Or maybe I should have pasta instead. Oh, I wonder what's new on Zara and Forever 21. And I need to check for train tickets!! (list goes on)

FOUR HOURS LATER...

I haven't eaten a thing, and haven't finished writing. This is just a glimpse of my day-to-day routine. Fun, right? So many distractions! Anyway, this photos are long overdue. I really wasn't planning on posting them because I didn't think it was "blog-worthy," tbh. I changed my mind; if that's not obvious yet. I decided to edit them because tacos. Yes, I had a sudden craving for tacos. Now I introduce you #TacoFestTO, which happened in the summer. June 17-19, to be exact. Told you. Expired photos haha but I thought I'd share it with you anyway. Who doesn't love tacos? Definitely not me.

Reasons To Attend Toronto's Festival of Beer

I can definitely feel the summer heat. Music festivals and food festivals are everywhere!
But did you know Toronto is also hosting a beer festival? I didn't. Until now..

James Dean-esque

Is it me or does this outfit has that James Dean vibe? Huh.. Must be the white shirt/leather jacket combo (but on the more feminine side). Don't want y'all thinking I dress like a man! Haha.. Sometimes a simple outfit with the right accessories goes a long way.

#emptyAGO

Ever dream of visiting the gallery without the crowds? On Thursday last week, I got the opportunity to be part of 20 Toronto photographers, bloggers, and social media influencers for an early-bird, behind-the-scenes tour before the art gallery opened to the public. This experience was the pilot event, the first of its kind at the AGO. Here are a few of the shots I've taken during and after the tour. Follow the rest of the squad's #emptyAGO experience on Instagram, and stay tuned for updates! See more at: http://artmatters.ca/wp/2016/05/emptyago-live-feed/?_sp=7ca368549b5ac500.1464714013576

School? Unusual Brunch Spot..

Happy Friday! They say, "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day." For people like me who love sleeping in every morning, we rarely ever make it out of bed by 9am. If we do, it's most likely because we have to (ie. work) or because of food. I'm a huge fan of going out for brunch. Not on weekends though, because it's always busy and the lineup is crazy if you go late. So jealous of everyone who lives next door to a really good brunch spot. Not much of a big deal for me as I usually go on weekdays. Hate the crowd and waiting in line. Although at some places, their weekend brunch menu is different. On the bright side.. it's better on a weekday because it's not as busy. I can take photos and no one can judge me!

FAVOURITES | Toronto Fashion Week Day 5

Every time I cover Toronto Fashion Week on the blog, I feel like it always takes forever and I always feel so behind. Not complaining by any means, and I still love writing about it. Maybe next time I'd narrow it down to one post; which would just include the highlights. So without further adieu, here's Day 5 of TFW..

FAVOURITES | Toronto Fashion Week Day 4

3D printing is becoming a trend recently. Schools have started to receive 3D printers, although I really don't get the purpose of it really.. Anyway, besides my point.. The first show on the fourth day of TFW was Daniel Christian Tang, who (guess what) presented a collection of 3D printed fine jewelry.

FAVOURITES | Toronto Fashion Week Day 2

Day two was a really short day for us. I ended up only attending three shows. My first one was Lamarque, which I didn't get any good shots except the ones taken from my phone. Too bad because I got the chance to sit front row. I absolutely loved her FW16 Collection. Just trust my word on it. Next show was Ellie Mae. Great collection as well for the upcoming cold season. Can they magically appear in my wardrobe?

FAVOURITES | Toronto Fashion Week Day 1

It's that time of the season. Now called Toronto Fashion Week (or simply TFW) was back at David Pecaut Square. This is the third time they've changed the name within five years, but that doesn't matter really. The first day of Toronto Fashion Week came out as a bang with Mikhael Kale as the opening show. Honestly, this designer never disappoints and always leaves a mark on the runway.

End of February Snowstorm

TGIF !! The two-day winter storm has passed and we're back to the blue skies (yet still cold) in Toronto. I'm just glad that mix of snow and rain is gone and the sidewalks are easier to walk on. The gross weather did not stop me, however, from walking around and enjoying my city. You just gotta learn how to deal with it and eventually will learn not to avoid it. It's actually the perfect time to leave your apartment, head to your nearest local cafe, sit by the window, and watch the beautiful snow falling from above. Trust me, it gives you this warm feeling inside. Also, it's a great spot to people watch. You get to see different kinds of people walking by or you'll end up listening to interesting conversations.

City Sleek Chic x The Individualist

’Tis the season to be jolly. Christmas is over and we haven't experienced major snow yet. Very thankful for that but frightening at the same time. All other things aside and not talk about the weather, I had a chance to meet up with Shafi of The Individualist Toronto for a collaboration on a Day-to-Night outfits.

PHOTO DIARY | Old Town Toronto

If you've hung out with me or have known me for a while, you know the extent of my love for food. Let's rewind during Toronto Fashion Week back in October.. I met a lot (and I mean A LOT) of fashion bloggers that season. One in particular is Darlene Anderson of The New Girl. I got too excited to meet a fellow Filipina blogger in the city. We've been friends since then. And what do bloggers do when they become actual friends? SET A LUNCH DATE. And we did.. Here's our food adventures during the day!

FALL, Please Stay For A While

It was such an amazing first week of November in Toronto. WEATHER WISE. It's not like Toronto isn't amazing and all. It's just it's already November and we were having up to 20-degree weather last week! Not complaining or anything. Just a little unusual. Anyway, before I jinx all of that, I decided to take a morning walk to the park and take a bunch of photos. There's something during fall season that is very refreshing. Probably because of the changing leaf colours. It's just unfortunate that I think this is the fastest season of the year too. Fall always goes by super quickly. At least that's how I feel.

PHOTO DIARY | #GentsExpo 2015

Toronto Men's Fashion Week is long gone but that doesn't mean that's the end of a full event for you handsome gents! Of course, ladies are always welcome to attend. On the weekend that just passed, The Gentlemen's Expo has returned for its third year with tons of great attractions, entertainment, and all things related to fashion, tech, music, sports, cars, food, and most importantly, alcohol. That's pretty much why guys love to attend these kinds of events. All for the booze. Someone tell me I'm wrong ;p

Cargo Trench Vest

Summer season is over. You know what that means? Fall(ing leaves) season is here! I have a love/hate relationship with this time of year because we have chilly mornings and nights, but during the day it gets a bit too warm. The solution to that? Layers. Layers. Layers. And I don't mean layers of fat (which is also possible in preparation for the cold winter months). What I mean is layers of clothes for the fall season.
