PHOTO DIARY | Bonjour, Paris - Day 3

Paris is definitely one of those cities you'll fall in love with. Don't get me wrong. I did, but I also felt butterflies in my stomach when we reached Versailles. Funny story.. It was a struggle to get there. For us, anyway. I know we've been taking the subway for the first two days in Paris, so we should start to be pretty confident about it - and we were. Until the city's transfer system ruined our momentum. We were literally stuck inside the station for at least 10mins trying to figure out how to get to the other subway line. Turns out, you have to go out of the station and go back in at the other entrance. Also, don't forget to scan your ticket while doing so! The rest of the journey was pretty smooth after that tiny hiccup.

I kind of lost my train of thought for a second. Paris.. Train.. Versailles.. Got it. So we got off at the last stop, and we've arrived at this quaint town of Versailles! Wish we could've stayed a bit longer there, but we were just so beat up from walking around Château de Versailles. This place is honestly a must-see and I feel like I'd never get tired of exploring.

Chambray Bomber

Since working with Fabletics, I told myself I'll start working out when I get the chance. Even going for a walk at the park counts. Or continue playing Dance Central (seriously guys, this is legit a workout). So I tried.. For the first few months of the summer anyway. When I get bored at home, I force myself out to the outside world. Until Fabletics decided to launch a more fashionable line.. I now only go for that walk to the coffee shop to sit for hours and get work done. My current favourite from the said line is this chambray bomber called the 'Francesca Jacket.' For denim lovers out there, you know sometimes jean jackets are just way too hot especially in the scorching heat. This bomber is a summer must-have because it's very lightweight and can definitely be worn outside the gym!

PHOTO DIARY | Bonjour, Paris - Day 2

Our second day was pretty chill. And by that, I mean, we kind of slept in and didn't get to do much. Was suppose to check out The Louvre early in the morning. Clearly didn't happen haha so we decided to go to the Catacombs of Paris instead. Such a huge line up when we got there. The average time was 1.5-2 hours, and they weren't exaggerating! Literally waited for an hour and a half. Super worth it!! I've yet to watch the movie about the Catacombs - which made me feel excited about checking this place out. It's definitely the highlight of our day though. Very interesting if you think about it, but it's really cool to be underground looking at skulls and bones of dead people. Our only mistake was we should've went later in the afternoon because they close at I believe 8pm. By the time we got out of there and walked to the Panthéon and Notre Dame Cathedral, they were already closed. Hence, the limited amount of photos for this post. My sis and I were both still pretty exhausted from the day before, so we walked around the Latin Quarter, bought souvenirs, and had dinner at this restaurant called Hippopotamus.

PHOTO DIARY | Bonjour, Paris - Day 1

Back in April, I did a trip out to Montreal for a few days (see here) and as you know, I don't speak French at all. Most people in the city speak English as well so that wasn't a huge problem for me. Until our sudden trip to Paris, the City of Love.. or City of Lights..? Whatever you want to associate it with. You can just imagine my struggles when my sister and I flew out to France. To our luck, she had taken French during high school so she knows and can understand basic conversations.  Still wasn't enough, but we manage to make it through, didn't we?

Our very first day was pretty hectic and exhausting, because we arrived early morning and had to get going after settling in to the apartment. Obviously we did get some sleep during the flight, but y'all know how uncomfortable the seats are! Especially if you're only on economy. So 7-8hrs travel time..  Plus time difference.. Not so good.

Easy, Breezy, Beautiful (NOT Covergirl)

I know. So cheesy, right? I added the "NOT Covergirl" part, because it's the brand's slogan. Don't want y'all assuming it's a beauty post. Very, very appropriate though. This is one of the easiest and most comfortable item in my closet. Not only it looks like a beach cover-up, but can also be worn as a dress during the hot weather. Like killing two birds with one stone! How very wise of me.. Anyway, bought this piece at Winners a month ago and I am in love. Wore it the day after it was purchased, hand washed it right after, and packed it in my suitcase to bring to my trip to Paris (which I will be posting very soon). I am again tempted to wear it. I swear I have more clothes!

How I Style My Awkward Hair Length

When you're at that awkward hair length stage, the no brainer hair solution is to go either curled or.. well, that's it. Since chopping my hair off two years ago, I never let my hair grow below my shoulders. As soon as it hits that certain length, it’s been so difficult trying to do anything else to my hair. I can't even leave it straight because the ends won't cooperate. So I worked on these three hairstyles (using a ceramic flat iron from Irresistible Me) that you can add to your repertoire while you’re at that awkward hair length!

My Favourite Piece

Happy Monday! One of the ways I make mornings easier is to plan out my outfit the night before (sometimes). It makes getting dressed so much faster, but sometimes life gets in the way and suddenly I'm faced with one of the biggest problems in the morning: "I have nothing to wear." So I stare at my closet and before I resolve to just go out naked, I reach for my current favourite piece. This top from Zara is my go-to for the summer. Been obsessing with off-shoulder tops and dresses lately!

REVIEW | Irresistible Me Diamond Flat Iron

I've been travelling a lot during the first half of the year, and I always pack my Tiri "Black Tie Affair MiniToGo Iron in my luggage. The best part about it is it comes in its own travel case to keep it protected and my stuff organized. My last trip to Paris had a minor adjustment to my carry-on essentials. Instead of packing my usuals, I decided to bring this ceramic flat iron from Irresistible Me.

Reasons To Attend Toronto's Festival of Beer

I can definitely feel the summer heat. Music festivals and food festivals are everywhere!
But did you know Toronto is also hosting a beer festival? I didn't. Until now..
