MERRY CHRISTMAS 2015

Just wanted to quickly check in and wish you all a very Merry Christmas! This year I decided to switch to a blue, white, and silver theme for the holidays (see my DIY decorations here and here). Christmas is the perfect time for me to reflect, count my blessing, and show my appreciation to the people around me and supporting me with everything I do. Although I feel like this year did not feel like Christmas at all. Mainly because Toronto hasn't seen any snow yet! Well.. we did for like five seconds. Not having a white Christmas is just like any other holiday. I guess snow makes it feel very special. Other than that, not complaining though as I am loving this mild weather very much. Enjoy the rest of the holidays!

DIY Lighted Burlap Garland

It's TEN DAYS before Christmas.. Have you finished decorating for the holidays yet? Fear not. This week I will be showing you three easy Christmas decor ideas you can create yourself! There's not a lot of materials needed so you'll be done in no time. Today's DIY is a Lighted Burlap Garland. Very simple and easy to make. I finished mine within two episodes of 2 Broke Girls. That's less than an hour! ;)

Wear Monochrome White

When I don't wear colour, I do it monochrome! A full monochromatic look may seem a little risky but if it's done right, they can look like very effortless and put together. The key is incorporating different textures when dealing with one colour. Not only you'd want each piece to be unique but should also be cohesive. This prevents you from looking like a solid block of colour. I paired this jogger-like, cargo-style pant with a white button down shirt that has a grid pattern. As for shoes, I opted for a navy stripe print to tie the outfit from head to toe. Finish it off with a faux leather jacket for a look that's both edgy and cool.

PHOTO DIARY | Old Town Toronto

If you've hung out with me or have known me for a while, you know the extent of my love for food. Let's rewind during Toronto Fashion Week back in October.. I met a lot (and I mean A LOT) of fashion bloggers that season. One in particular is Darlene Anderson of The New Girl. I got too excited to meet a fellow Filipina blogger in the city. We've been friends since then. And what do bloggers do when they become actual friends? SET A LUNCH DATE. And we did.. Here's our food adventures during the day!

Fifty Shades of Green

Can you believe it's December? Definitely felt like time flew by in one snap. Maybe because so much has happened in my life this year that I haven't even noticed the little things. So the countdown begins ..

PHOTO DIARY | Travel Alone - LA Day 3

Currently writing this on a Friday night. Today's schedule was jam packed - had school, a photo shoot with some filming, then off to dinner. All that fun stuff so I am posting my last day in LA a little bit later than usual. My apologies! ;) Anyway.. This last minute three-day trip to the west coast was pretty interesting. In a good way. As I've mentioned (or as what the title hasn't directly stated), I did travel alone to this big city for the first time. It was.. eye-opening. Everyone around me had asked if I was scared. You know, being a girl and all without knowing anyone. I was actually not, despite being a very introvert person. It was a trip both for pleasure and blog-related (kind of?). The thought of meeting new people, who I've only talked to through social media, was the very exciting part. For me at least.

PHOTO DIARY | Travel Alone - LA Day 2

Like I've mentioned in my previous post, I was in bed at around 10PM. I tried so hard to stay up until at least midnight but did not work out so well. I probably was fast asleep an hour later. So jet lag continued as I started the next day at 6AM Pacific Time. What's a girl to do? BREAKFAST !!!

PHOTO DIARY | Travel Alone - LA Day 1

Another beautiful day out today in Toronto and guess what? This LA photo diary is up! Ever since I've flown to New York a couple of times during the summer, it triggered a case of extreme wanderlust in my system. Travelling around the world has been one of my life goals for as long as I can remember. This year was the start of fulfilling that dream and I couldn't stop thinking about being on a plane. I've actually thought of going to the airport, buy a random ticket (doesn't matter where I ended up going as long as the place is safe), and just have the most spontaneous trip of my life. Like I said.. #lifegoals. Enough about that.

YOUTUBE | Fabletics Collaboration

THIS VIDEO IS FINALLY LIVE. After two months of procrastination, I suddenly had the motivation to finish editing this particular one. I really would like to start a YouTube channel but with my blog, school, and part time job on the side, it's hard to maintain another platform. To be honest, video editing takes so much time. Plus, the filming itself is hard work and very awkward (I guess just for me since I'm just starting).

It's Raining, It's Pouring

It's almost the weekend! (Although yet again I am working on a Saturday) But.. No big deal. Busy season is starting to pick up. Plus, Toronto weather has begun being bipolar all over again. Like I've mentioned in my previous post HERE, we had above ten degree temperatures last week. Unfortunately this week was the exact opposite. It's been cold and rainy for the past two to three days. The sun peeks through for about five seconds and it disappears again. I can feel winter will be coming pretty soon.

FALL, Please Stay For A While

It was such an amazing first week of November in Toronto. WEATHER WISE. It's not like Toronto isn't amazing and all. It's just it's already November and we were having up to 20-degree weather last week! Not complaining or anything. Just a little unusual. Anyway, before I jinx all of that, I decided to take a morning walk to the park and take a bunch of photos. There's something during fall season that is very refreshing. Probably because of the changing leaf colours. It's just unfortunate that I think this is the fastest season of the year too. Fall always goes by super quickly. At least that's how I feel.

I Don't Workout But.. (ft. Fabletics)

I've never travelled as much as I have in these last six months. Flew to New York for the first time in June, cottage trip outside the city in July, back to New York in August, and I just got back from my trip to LA this morning. I know the most important thing is to stay healthy. From different time zones and sleeping patterns, you need to take care of your body! No matter how successful you are in your career, or how busy you are, health should always come first! So below are my 5 tips to stay healthy while traveling!

Hello Sunshine, I Feel the Heat

There will never be an appropriate time than now to publish this outfit photo. I know I have been very inconsistent in updating the blog recently. If you follow me on Instagram ( @tiffanyc_ ), you know it's been such a crazy few months! I've been travelling a lot then midterms came then Toronto Fashion Week came. BUSY BUSY BUSY. Back to my point, I am currently in the west coast. Los Angeles to be exact. It was kind of a last minute trip tbh. I just wanted to get away during intersession week at school. So I decided to fly somewhere warm. And this is such a perfect time because Toronto right now is bleh. I'm still in denial that winter is coming. I say this every year but whatever. Not used to it!

What A Hectic Week Ahead

Hiiiiiii... I usually don't get super excited on Mondays but this week is particularly special for me. World MasterCard Fashion Week starts today! I get to hang out with all my lovely fashion friends this time of the year and I'm thrilled to meet new faces in the industry. Can't wait to see what everyone's outfits are! Also, it will be crazy and stressful because my midterms are happening this week. That's not fun. So I will have to manage my time wisely and pass all of them. SEE YOU!

ps. Don't forget to vote today my Canadian friends!

Remains of Summer

I'm not ready for the drop of temperature during the fall season; hence the bare legs outfit. Even during the cold months I like to wear colourful prints to brighten up the day. So for me, it's summer all year round. Well.. In regards to colours and prints at least.

PHOTO DIARY | #GentsExpo 2015

Toronto Men's Fashion Week is long gone but that doesn't mean that's the end of a full event for you handsome gents! Of course, ladies are always welcome to attend. On the weekend that just passed, The Gentlemen's Expo has returned for its third year with tons of great attractions, entertainment, and all things related to fashion, tech, music, sports, cars, food, and most importantly, alcohol. That's pretty much why guys love to attend these kinds of events. All for the booze. Someone tell me I'm wrong ;p

Cargo Trench Vest

Summer season is over. You know what that means? Fall(ing leaves) season is here! I have a love/hate relationship with this time of year because we have chilly mornings and nights, but during the day it gets a bit too warm. The solution to that? Layers. Layers. Layers. And I don't mean layers of fat (which is also possible in preparation for the cold winter months). What I mean is layers of clothes for the fall season.

PHOTO DIARY | Celebrating in NYC - Day 3

Very sorry for posting this a little late! This was supposed to be up on Friday last week but I didn't get a chance to. Cannot believe it's our last day (like always). Of course, our first stop would be Shake Shack. I know, I know. Again, right? But whatever! We don't have that burger joint in Canada. We didn't know what time they open and we got there pretty early. So we ended up chilling at Madison Square Park.

PHOTO DIARY | Celebrating in NYC - Day 2

Greetings from New York! Just kidding. I am still in my city but posting NYC backlogs. Our second day in New York was pretty cultural. We headed to MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) in the morning. Which I kind of just skimmed through the first time I went there. This time, I actually spent more than two seconds on each exhibit. I assure you there are a variety of very interesting things to see. Plus, there were a lot of stuff that I learned about that I didn't even notice the first time.

PHOTO DIARY | Celebrating in NYC - Day 1

Remember last time when I said I will be back in New York one day? Well.. I DID! And it was sooner than expected. Couple of months later when I visited the city for the first time, I found myself walking the streets of Manhattan again. It was such an incredible experience that I couldn't get it off my head. Seriously, a piece of me was left behind and is now permanently stamped in New York. I decided to celebrate my birthday on a different approach this year. Prior to this trip, I had hosted a BBQ party with the closest of my friends and went out for drink with a few others. On the day of, I flew back to New York. It felt like I never left. This time, it was my mission to go to the places I didn't get a chance to go to last time.
