Welcome to the #ExpressLife

It's the start of press previews! With spring and summer slowly approaching, brands are now starting to tease us on what they will have in stores in the upcoming months. Express Spring 2016 Collection Preview last week was the first event I've attended this year. I never go alone to these kinds of media events so I asked my girl, Darlene of The New Girl, to join. It was a fun night plus we ate lots and lots of food. Especially those cheeseburger sliders! YUMMM.. Also, I got the chance to see some of my other friends.

Sweater + Dress = Sweater Dress (?!)

Guess what? I haven't abandoned you all! The reason why I haven't been able to post anything for a while now is because my schedule has been crazy busy last week. After all that stress, I "surprisingly" caught a cold. It started as a simple itchy throat, which turned into an occasional cough, then turned into sneezing, and finally a runny nose. End game is.. I got really sick over the weekend. Yet here I am, updating you all with my nonsense. Anyway, I think now is the time to publish an outfit post since I've been depriving you of one. Ta-da ! .. I'll let you in on a little secret. I had gone to the thesaurus website twice because I couldn't find the right words. Although you won't know which words were those. Ugh, hate it when I think of something and it's at the tip of your tongue but can't, for the life of me, figure out what it is.

PHOTO DIARY | Andy Warhol: Revisited

Andy Warhol REVISITED Toronto! Revolver Gallery, founded by Canadian entrepreneur, Ron Rivlin in 2012, is an international contemporary gallery with a one-artist program focusing on the life and work of pioneer and preeminent member of pop art, Andy Warhol. With over 120 original prints and paintings in the collection, the gallery maintains one of the largest, gallery held collections of work by the artist in the world. Revolver Gallery carries on Andy’s belief that pop art is for everyone. The gallery does this by contextualizing the artist’s body of work through outreach, innovative Warhol exhibitions, partnerships with leading institutions, and the sharing of information specific to the artist’s life and work.

Layers Upon Layers

Maxi (or floor-length) dresses were one of the trends for the summer last year. And who says you can't wear them during the cold months too? Definitely not me. Dresses, in my opinion, are the most versatile piece a girl can have in her wardrobe. It's one of those things where you look like you made an effort planning an outfit without actually making the effort. Best. Feeling. Ever. Also, layering is key to keep warm when the temperatures drop. Wearing a black poncho on top of the dress and vest slims you down although you have three different layers on. It won't look bulky at all.

PHOTO DIARY | 2015 Through the Lens

Another year has gone by and just like that, we are ringing in the new year once again. 2015 passed by really quickly. Although what seems like a very short year, numerous things has happened and I've reached a few milestones in my life. I'd like to look back and reflect on how 2015 treated me. Thankfully, it was a year filled with laughter, life, and accomplishments. Unlike 2014, my biggest blessings this year came in a more personal form. I had the opportunity to travel with the closest of my friends and just with myself. I have also met a lot of amazing people, which some have become really good friends of mine. Below are photos of what I've experienced in the past year: travelling, collaborations, different cultures, great company, and new opportunities. Cheers to 2016! Hoping this year will be as eventful as the last.

City Sleek Chic x The Individualist

’Tis the season to be jolly. Christmas is over and we haven't experienced major snow yet. Very thankful for that but frightening at the same time. All other things aside and not talk about the weather, I had a chance to meet up with Shafi of The Individualist Toronto for a collaboration on a Day-to-Night outfits.
